Learn what AcreSketch stores locally, what may be shared when you create a project link, and how optional analytics, ads and map services are handled.

Information you provide
The core calculators are designed to work without an account. If you contact us, we may receive the information you choose to send.
Browser storage
The interactive map can save a project in your browser using local storage when you choose the Save button. That project remains on your device unless browser data is cleared.
Survey and plat images
The survey-image measurement tool reads the selected image locally in your browser. The selected image is not uploaded to AcreSketch by this tool.
Shared project links and exports
If you deliberately create a share link, the property geometry is encoded in the URL fragment so another browser can reconstruct the project. Anyone who receives that link may be able to view those coordinates. Exported JSON files can also contain property geometry. Do not share either format unless you intend to disclose that project data.
Analytics and advertising
AcreSketch may enable analytics or advertising services. When enabled, those providers may process device, usage or cookie information according to their own policies and applicable consent requirements. Advertising is not required to use the core measurement tools.
Map services
Street-map tiles may be requested from OpenStreetMap. If address search or satellite imagery is enabled, requests may also be processed by the configured map provider. Map providers receive normal web-request information such as IP address and browser details.
Your choices
You can use the core tools without creating an account. You can also clear locally saved projects through your browser storage controls.
