Property shapes traced on a web map are estimates. Map imagery can be offset, fences can be misplaced, and visible features may not represent recorded boundary lines.

Survey and plat image estimates

Image calibration depends on the accuracy of the source document, the reference dimension you choose, image scaling, scan or camera distortion and the points you click. The result is a planning estimate and does not convert an unofficial image into a legal survey.

Not zoning or permit approval

A footprint that geometrically fits inside a drawn boundary can still violate setbacks, easements, lot coverage limits, fire access, drainage, HOA rules or other requirements.

Material estimates

Fence, sod and gravel results are planning estimates. Actual quantities depend on site conditions, installation method, supplier specifications and waste.

Verify before spending

For decisions involving ownership, construction, permitting or significant expense, verify measurements and requirements with the appropriate local authority, recorded documents and qualified professionals.
