What is a property “space budget”?
Answer first: it is a simple way to compare the total lot area with the footprint of everything you plan to place on it. Instead of looking at a single percentage, you can see how the house, driveway, pool, lawn and other areas compete for the same finite space.
Why this is useful before detailed design
A lot can look large until driveway access, structures, outdoor living and usable lawn are considered together. This planner exposes that trade-off early. It does not decide what is legally buildable; setbacks, easements, coverage limits, drainage and local codes still need separate verification.
How the material estimates are connected
Areas labeled Lawn feed the sod estimate. Areas labeled Driveway feed the gravel estimate. The property perimeter feeds the fence estimate. The goal is to reuse one plan rather than making you type the same measurements into several disconnected tools. Treat this as a space-allocation and quantity-planning worksheet, not a determination of legal buildable area.
